Intermediate Apprenticeship Closing date: 31st May 2012 Job description: This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to work within the care home sector. You will work alongside the staff at the care home assisting them with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, helping with games and activities. You may also help out with day trips. You will be speaking and interacting with the residents and helping them with day to day activities like getting dressed. The apprentice will carry out their training with ESG Group Plc, but will be mainly based at the employer’s premises in Whitwick, Coalville. On completion of the Intermediate level 2 in Health and Social care you could go on to work towards the advanced Level 3. Qualifications/skills required for the job: The ideal candidate for this role needs to be flexible, hard working, a good communicator, able to use own initiative and work as part of a team. Must have a kind and caring nature and be very patient with the residents. Also, need to be understanding and have a passion for working with the elderly as the hours can be long and you will need to work weekends in the care sector. Basic numeracy and literacy is required.
