Course Title: Kickstart Motorbike Mechanics Name of Provider; AXLR8 Who is it suitable for: 16-18 yr old not currently in Education or Employment What will you learn: The Kickstart programme offers learners an introduction to motorbike mechanics, servicing, repairs, refinishing and basic riding skills. Learners will gain a basic knowledge of: • Workshop Health and Safety • How an engine works • Remove, inspect and refit brake pads/shoes, engine cylinder, clutch, variator, rollers and carburettor. • Prepare surfaces for paint • Respray parts using primer, cellulose, 2K and lacquer. • Basic riding skills When does it start: 23rd May 2012 What qualifications will you get: Level 1 certificate in Motor Vehicle Studies What happens when you finish: FE College, Employment Where will it be:Aylestone Road Leicester How to refer: Please see your Connexions Personal Adviser How long will it last: 8 Weeks
