This an excellent opportunity supporting  young people leaving the care system to gain some valuable work experience in the voluntary sector. Whilst this work is unpaid, you will gain work experience and skills to help you develop a career. This includes an important and practical insight into the world of work, improved employability and increased confidence and self-esteem. From the training you will understand how an organisation is run, it's structure, products and/or services and how it generates money. You will work as part of a team and reflect upon your experiences and how this may help develop your career.Once you have completed your training you will have gained a Certificate of Achievement and a record of achievements/reference to show employers this skills and experience you have learned. You may even be offered full time employment on a temporary or permanent basis. 

Eligibility/Criteria:
You must have been in care and want to gain experience of work based learning. 

Duration:	This placement lasts for up to four weeks. However this can be flexible, for example part-time hours or fewer weeks.  

Allowance:  This placement is voluntary and unpaid. However the placement will pay reasonable public transport travel expenses. 

Location:	City Centre, Leicester.
