A personalised programme of learning where young parents or parents-to-be can study at their own pace, to achieve credits of learning in a variety of National Open College (NOCN) units. These include; - Developing and using research skills. - Understanding the value of food and nutrition for children and young people. - Developing skills for independent life Learners initially study 3 units to achieve an Award but can continue on to study further units to achieve the Certificate and Diploma levels. Personal and social skills will also be developed and there will be opportunities to meet new people in a small group environment but still be part of the college community. Personal and social skills you will work upon; - Confidence building - Working in teams - Presentation skills - Independent learning - Social skills - Research skills - Communication skills - Organisation skills - Listening skills Days and Hours of course: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9.45am to 2.55pm Location: Regent Road, Leicester.
