Course Title: LaunchPad Name of Provider: TwentyTwenty Who is it suitable for: 16-18 yr old not currently in Education or Employment What will you learn: Launch pad is a ten week course designed to help young people take that first step onto foundation learning, college courses, apprenticeships or employment. Launchpad offers a creative curriculum three days per week designed to engage young people, teach basic life and employment skills. Specifically there are teamwork challenges involving interaction with the general public, enterprise challenges involving local business people, outdoor pursuits to encourage communication, teamwork and leadership as well as a community action project. Young people will also gain an accreditation through completion of Launchpad, assistance in taking their next steps and support to make the transition. When does it start:26th April 2012 What qualifications will you get: E3 Award Introduction to Learning Programme What happens when you finish: TwentyTwenty is Matrix accredited for IAG, where each young person worked with gains a key worker who helps them in progression decisions and supports them in moving on. We gain visits from local businesses, have TwentyTwenty open days at partner colleges and offer ongoing 1-2-1 support beyond our courses via our mentoring scheme. We offer several progression routes internally, including two Foundation Learning (FL)* programmes that offer options in Business Admin, Retail, Customer Services, Sports and Fitness, Childcare.
