There are a range of units that you can work through, you can decide with a specialist Young Parent Outreach Worker which ones would be best for you. An innovative programme, accredited at level 1, designed to equip young parents and parents-to-be with the skills and knowledge necessary to adjust to parenthood and the changes in lifestyle that this will create. Learning can be offered on a 1:1 or groupwork basis, depending on demand and will be tailored to meet individual need. Areas of learning include preparation for birth, caring for your baby, developing parenting skills, independent living and budgeting skills and units designed to raise the confidence and aspirations of the learners together with practical tools to plan towards achievement of goals.
