Health problems
Help for young people with poor health
We give extra help to young people with serious medical conditions. These can include cancer, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, HIV/aids, heart conditions, progressive cerebral palsy, and other much rarer conditions.
We can help young people with:
- Advice about options in education, training, and employment.
- Applications for further education, training or employment.
- Personal issues such as confidence, self-esteem and coping with illness.
- Information about free time and personal development opportunities.
- Information about other specialist services such as counselling and supported employment services.
We can see young people where it suits them best, whether it’s at home, school or in a Connexions centre.
