Midwife services

Midwives offer a drop in service for teenage parents-to-be and young parents at the centre. They can provide you with a tailor-made package of support during your pregnancy and after the baby is born. You can also get information and help with:

  • Parenting skills
  • Antenatal care and support after the birth
  • Housing and benefits
  • Money advice, and much more

The teenage pregnancy midwives Cheryl and Jane are at the Connexions centre every Friday between 2pm and 4pm

Safer sex

You can get basic info and advice on contraception and sexual health and signposting to contraceptive services.

Job hunting skills

Learn how to produce a CV, look for jobs, write covering letters, complete application forms and prepare for interviews.

Open door counselling

A counsellor from Open Door is available on Tuesday mornings at our centre. For more information about their service please see their website: www.opendoorleicester.org
