This course provides the necessary skills and knowledge for advisers to help clients build a CV. It enables them to explore the scope and purpose of a CV and successfully review existing CVs.

LMI is central to career decision making. However on its own it may not be helpful. This course focuses on the quality and reliability of sources of information and how it can be best used effectively to help clients progress into learning and work.

How to be a Selection Interview Coach

This course looks at how to help young people prepare for interviews for work and education, employment and training and how you as a practitioner can help prepare them for success.

Interview Skills

This course provides the skills, structure and strategies to work effectively on a one to one with clients. It can be adapted to different levels depending on the make-up of the group.

Motivational Interviewing

Is client progress hampered by a lack of self belief, resistance to change or ambivalence? This course looks at recognising client barriers and using appropriate strategies to help overcome them.

Positive Customer Care

We want our customers and clients to have a positive experience in dealing with our services. This course looks at how to build a culture of positive customer care on a face to face and remote basis.

Safeguarding Training

Level 2a and 2b

Safeguarding Refresher

The learning outcomes for this course are set by the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB). This is mandatory for those who work regularly with children and young people or with adults who are parents or carers.

All those who have undertaken Safeguarding Children Level 2a and 2b must attend a refresher at least every 3 years to ensure knowledge and understanding is kept up to date.

SMART

This half day hands on course will enable practitioners to use the SMART board technology to enhance their presentations and group work activities. Learn how to highlight, manouvre, save notes made on screen, add additional pages to documents/PowerPoints etc.
