QCF Level 3 Award for Supporting Clients to Overcome Barriers to Learning and Work

 

This is a 6 credit award aimed at those who want to gain national recognition for their work with clients. It is suitable for those who signpost clients to sources of information, advice and guidance and who offer support with information needs in relation to entry to learning and work.

QCF Level 4 Diploma in Careers Information and Advice

 

This is a 45 credit diploma aimed at those who deliver information and advice. It is suitable for those who work directly with clients to support them to reach their career goals and overcome barriers to work and learning.

QCF Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development

 

This is a 60 credit diploma aimed at those in professional roles providing career guidance and development to clients. It is suitable for those who are required to apply career guidance theories and models to practice in order to support clients to make realistic and informed decisions regarding career planning.

QCF Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Advice & Guidance

This is a 21 credit certificate aimed at those who provide information and advice to clients in a range of situations.  It is suitable for those who work to clear guidelines and for those who work directly with clients to support them to overcome barriers in their life. 

QCF Level 4 Diploma in Advice & Guidance

 

 

This is a 37 credit diploma aimed at those who practice advice and guidance. It is suitable for those who are required to apply guidance theories and models to practice in order to support clients with decision making and planning.

Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector

A City and Guilds Level 3 Qualification, PTLLS is the first step to a full teacher qualification.  The course is equivalent to 6 credits on the QCF Framework.  This course will enable the candidate to understand their own role, boundaries and responsibilities in relation to teaching.  They will learn about session planning skills, motivating their learners and understand the use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping. 

Effective use of LMI (Labour Market Information)

LMI is central to career decision making. However on its own it may not be helpful. This course focuses on the quality and reliability of sources of information and how it can be best used effectively to help clients progress into learning and work.
