Accredited training

The Diploma in Career Education is offered to staff in learning organisations, and Connexions staff, who would like to develop their own practice in relation to CEIAG.  This will ultimately improve the provision within their organisations as assignments are linked to practice.

The diploma is delivered in partnership with Connexions services across the East Midlands and Nottingham Trent University.

The CLAS team offers a series of training events through the year open to staff from learning organisations and Connexions personal advisers.

We are happy to design a session on any aspect relating to career education that you feel is appropriate for your staff. If you would like to access this service please contact a member of the team.

The following resource can be used in relation to professional development.

Aimed at anyone working with groups of young people. This guide is a simple introduction to understanding self-esteem, how people learn and ways of working successfully in a group situation with young people.

Online guidance

 IAG Workforce – a new site has been developed by DCSF to support practice in IAG

CEGNET – covers all aspects of career education. It is run by the Career Education Support Programme and is regularly updated to ensure you have access to national developments, resources and advice.

ACEG -The Association for Careers Education and Guidance is for all people involved in the management and delivery of careers education and guidance for young people in the UK. The website is a source of information on developments in CEG, ideas for the classroom and research.
