Begin to draw up a short-list of higher education courses and institutions. Attend local or national higher education fairs; they are a good source of useful information and advice. Attend higher education open days and any link courses which are available.

Watch higher education videos and consult official and alternative prospectuses.

Explore opportunities for sponsorship.

Employment or Training
Begin to draw up a short list of career ideas. Research which companies might have employment opportunities.

Start to compile a CV if you don’t already have one.

Research Apprenticeship opportunities.

Summer Term Year 1

Higher Education
Candidates for Oxford or Cambridge or those wanting to study medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or veterinary science should obtain application details ready to apply by 15 October.

Continue to research courses and institutions.

Complete your application to UCAS using 'Apply' the UCAS on-line application system.Apply for Art Foundation courses directly to the institution.
