Connexions advisers

Young people have access to a Connexions adviser who can give information, advice, and arrange expert help if it is needed. Connexions advisers will listen and want to help.

Connexions advisers can help young people sort out any problems or issues that are facing them. They are easy to get in touch with as they are based in schools, colleges, youth centres and other community venues as well as Connexions centres.

If your teenager is looking for a job or a course after Year 11 they can talk to the Connexions adviser at their school or college or, if they have left education, visit a Connexions centre for help.

If your son or daughter has a learning difficulty or disability they may find it hard to find work or a course that suits them. If so their Connexions adviser can talk to them about:

• College courses to meet their needs
• Special programmes if they are going straight into work
• Other people who can help

To talk to your teenager's Connexions adviser ask at their school or contact your local Connexions centre.

Connexions Direct Helpline and online support

Free online and telephone support is available through Connexions Direct. You can contact an adviser by telephone: 080 800 13 2 19 or webchat, Adviser Web Cam, email or text message. They are available from 8 am to 2 am every day.
