LeCAP is the process of students making choices about what to do after year 11 and then applying for their chosen learning option.
The process begins in year 10 and should be part of a careers education programme where students develop the skills needed to make well-informed realistic decisions about their future pathways. The process usually ends when a young person is settled in a post 16 learning option after year 11.
| Dec – Jan | The main period for completing applications |
| 31 Jan | The nominal closing date for applications. Applications after this date will be considered but choices may be limited |

| 17 Apr | By this date most schools and colleges will have made an offer to most students |
| 10 May | By this date students should have accepted one place |
| June | Support is still available from Connexions to help young people find suitable employers if they have applied for an apprenticeship |
| 24 Aug 2010 | Exam results – students need to seek advice if they are unsure what to do when they receive their results. |
There will be no new paper forms available for 2010 applications.
There are very limited supplies of the old paper forms that can be used for 09/10. Supplies can be requested from Mandy Orton on 0116 261 5920 or email morton@connexions-leics.org.
