Kangaroo's best bits are brought to you in this latest version!

The best bits include all the things you love about Kangaroo, such as the Virtual Job Interview, Career Trek, Health and Safety Quizzes and video clips of people at work.

So what is Kangaroo?

Kangaroo is a multi-media, interactive CD-ROM and internet gateway produced by the East Midlands Connexions Consortium. In Leicestershire it is available in every Connexions Centre and has been sent to schools and colleges. It is also available to our partners, such as youth and community groups, libraries and training providers.

  The interactive on-screen interview - be interviewed and get tips. Test your interview skills against our panel. Dare you come up against the nightmare interviewers?

• Career Trek

  Journey into the future - the interactive careers game with a difference. Can you erase the memory of the Security Guard to escape?

• Oops, Ouch, Aargh!

  Spot those dangers in the workplace and stay safe!

• Extra Support - Listen to Me

  Interactive personal statement activity for young people who need additional support.

• Plus

  videos of people at work, quizzes and activities around the world of work, downloadable worksheets to help young people plan their future, links to interactive websites and local information.

Installing Kangaroo

Installation instructions are available in the ‘Read Me’ files on the Kangaroo disc.

If you are still not able to load Kangaroo on to your network, e-mail the experts at Indigo through the support website:

They will be able to guide you through your particular problem.

Posters promoting Essential Roo will be sent out to all schools and colleges in December 2008. If you want more, please contact the Information and Marketing Team in the first instance.

Lesson support and Inset training

We can visit schools/colleges, special units and partner organisations to train staff in using Kangaroo and the Connexions Leicester Shire Website. These form part of the range of information and support available from Connexions to help young people.
