Statistics and Research

Sharing statistics and research with partners

Connexions Leicester Shire collects data and maintains a database of young people in Leicester and Leicestershire. We analyse the data to identify issues to be addressed in our planning and to support the future development of our work.

The data analysis most of our partners will know about is our annual survey of the destinations of Year 11 and Year 13 school leavers which we publish on our website each year.

We can also provide partners with a tailored analysis of our data to address specific areas of interest.

Our database contains information on young people aged 13 to 19 (or up to 25 years old if they have a learning difficulty or disability) living in the city and county. From this we can run reports on:

  • Young people's destinations e.g. school, college, employment, training, NEET
  • NEET group, e.g. seeking training and employment
  • Ethnicity
  • Age
  • Ward the young person is resident in
  • What the young person was doing previously
  • What the young person would like to do next
  • Desired occupation type
  • Target groups e.g. teenage parents or young people supervised by the Youth Offending Service (YOS)

We can also help schools and colleges look at long term tracking of their students.

There are numerous reports we can run to analyse the data in different ways. If you would like to request a report or you would like to discuss a tailored analysis to meet your needs please contact our research officer on:
